2 night stay is a must for Skellig Michael 6th Century Monastic Settlement.

Our visiting time on Skellig Michael is normally about 2/3 hours giving you adequate time to follow the island’s only roadway, climb the only accessible stone stairs, tour the old monastic site 200 metres above the sea, and admire the puffins, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and fulmars nesting on the island from the end of April to the early days of August.  During high season, there are guides/wardens on duty in the monastery area. They can give information and answer visitors’ questions.

For persons travelling without cars – pickup and dropback can be organised subject to availability. Don’t forget that this is almost a ‘wilderness outing’ to an Atlantic Ocean Island 1000’s of years old where there are no modern facilities. Bring water, and sensible clothes.

Do let us know your preferred date/s in advance. 
However, as the service is subject to the weather of the day, prepayment is not necessary - you settle with the Boatman on your return.

It is essential that we telephone your confirmation before 7pm on the day prior to your Skellig visit.
